Our little girls will only stay small for so long! From infancy until early adolescence parents can really create a fun, fresh, and girly bedroom that you will both adore.

Ladybugs, butterflies, and flowers are such popular themes for little girl’s bedrooms. Bright colors and soft textures give them a place that feels relaxed and comfortable.

There are so many colors to choose from when painting the walls…I think the best place to start is to choose a fun girl’s quilt for the bed and then take colors from that for the walls, curtains, and wall art. Don’t be shy with color - the walls could be a bright, bold purple, or a soft, buttery yellow. You could also try your hand at painting stripes or polka dots for a fun, whimsical look.

I think that white furniture beautifully compliments most of the soft pinks, purples, and greens that we see in girl’s bedrooms. Light woods can work well, too. Darker woods tend to lend a more masculine feel to a room, unless you are going for a more formal look, them the darker woods look really pretty against a creamy toile quilt.
