Next time you go on holiday picture this, your cruising down a sunny boulevarde in your drop top coupe and you see a beautiful young girl, you stop to say hello but she turns around and laughs at you, remarking on the size of your exhaust pipe. Its apparently a new craze for girls to revel in the size of car exhaust pipes, as if a used car ever mattered to a girl, especially in the sun! On several cars I have noticed that even girls themselves are adding style accessories such as uprated exhausts, pink alloys and even pink car accessories. What is the world coming too - screw the pink cars - give me a drop top mercedes any day!

I have been collecting random things from a very early age. I would spend days searching for a specific collectables (for example I collected mcdonalds toys which later became very collectable mcdonalds toys.) but then as I grew up I needed to find a new hobby so I got into collecting cars, well as a younger teen just thinking and dreaming about collecting cars - but now as I get older, wiser and richer I look to truly expand my car collection - do you think thats sensible? I started out by buying one rare ferrari that I saw for sale at a rare ferrari sale. From there its just catapulted and I have purchased about 10 cars since ranging from not so collectable but random citroen that I found at a similar used citroen sale to the true extent of my addiction to all things italian with purchasing a alfa romeo gtv for just under £3k - pretty good again for its year and mileage etc. But god its bad on the bank balance - £100k on cars alone in the last 6 months - and I only have a 10 garage so I need to either spend another 40k on a new garage or chill out with the car purchasing!!

I personally love buying collectables, I don’t know about you guys but theres something about a decent antique shop that I just cant say no too - you go in looking for antiques for sale and come out with a collectable item, its crazy - but fun nether-the-less.

For example last week I went in an antiques shop on broadway - Lovely little shop but there were just piles of classic old stuff like a wurlitzer juke box for sale and a wiked hat! In the end I just walked out with a very pretty little royal doulton figurine that had a collection of animals sitting on a small stand. Lovely shop, lovely item and a good price!

Statistics on the car sales ceredigion are bad this year, we are down 10% on last years figures, which means for no-bonus and a grumpy christmas at ford west wales. I really don’t know what we can do, I have tried halfing the prices of the cars, even selotaping bmw badges over ours didn’t work, one customer even exclaimed “ive never heard of a bmw mondeo” poppycock I responded “its their best selling model” - by saying their I think I may have given it away!

I suppose its back to the bin emptying for me - a little glimpse into the life of a salesman - wonder if anyone in the motor trade or car selling industries will ever read this - if they do, hello to you!!!

Now typically my personality leans towards local buying and selling of vehicles, trading at markets, dealing with local customers and finding local suppliers. But when it comes to finding local used plant its not always so easy.  Reason being I was looking for a refurbished Tractor last week, I went to see bob the tractor man, dave the used tractor dealer but to no avail. I turned my attention to online - first I checked ebay, no luck, then autotrader but thier site was very confusing and broken. I eventually found a good place to get used plant locally, I found the exact tractor I wanted and have brought it - love this old ford!

Get your Remote control cars - seriously they are the most awesome christmas present, all kids love em. I brought 4 last year - one for each of the kids and 2 for a nephew and cousin! Everyone loved them.

I personally opt for the petrol cars - but they are a bit more of an adult toy - so I have one for me but I usually buy kids high end electric rc cars, because they are nearly as fast as the petrol radio controlled - but without the chance of the kid spilling petrol anywhere or having to pull the pull cord and not being able to. Electric remote control cars are a bit cleaner to be honest.

This year I got the kids new ones - these ones go nearly 40mph - electric remote control cars that go 40mph? thats mad - you should see the yard, the boy has even managed to master the drifting in gravel so he can drift around everywhere!

Hunters And Ther Knives
———-
Surgeons Have Scalpels, Hunters Have Hunting Knives

Ask any outdoor enthusiast what tools are necessary for a successful hunt and hunting knives will always make the top of the list. While some hunting knives are great for the heavy cutting that comes with cleaning a kill, there are times when a small compact knife is best for performing the little, menial tasks while out in the field. There are a number of options to consider when it comes to choosing a hunting knife that is right for the job. Contrary to popular opinion, a larger knife is not always the best bet for a hunt. It can be awkward to handle, require more time to care for and, seeing as most seasoned hunters prefer smaller blades, can say much about a hunter’s level of practical experience out in the field.

Hunting knives are often made of carbon or stainless steel. While they both have their benefits, stainless steel blades are the most common. Those who prefer to have a knife that is easy to keep sharp are likely to choose the carbon blade. However, it should be noted that a carbon blade is more likely to rust than a stainless steel blade. When out in the field, it is not uncommon for knives to come in contact with moisture. This is why many hunters opt for the stainless steel blade. Even though stainless steel is better at resisting moisture, it is also harder to keep sharp.

When it comes to hunting knives, one will find there is a choice between a foldable blade and a fixed blade. A fixed blade will be sturdier and a more reliable choice for larger projects. These types of blades require a sheath and will need to be worn on a belt or carried in the hunter’s pack. While a foldable blade can be quite sturdy, it is not commonly used a primary hunting knife. A foldable blade, or pocket knife, is likely to have other handy tools that also fold out. Many hunters prefer to keep this type of compact knife with them at all times, whether out in the field or out at the grocery store.

Some other aspects to consider when looking at hunting knives might be the shape of the blade, the handle or grip, the butt, thumb spurs or locking liners. One of the most recommended methods for picking out a good knife is how it feels in one’s hand. A knife that is awkward and unwieldy is of no use out in the field. One should also consider the maintenance and care that will be required. There are some knives that come with free conditioning oil or sharpening tools upon purchase. On average, a guide for proper knife care is also included, showing essential care and sharpening procedures.
