Life expectancy rates for sufferers normally range from approximately nine months to a year after diagnosis. This can be improved to two, or in rare cases five years with extensive and aggressive treatment, if the cancer is detected early.

Malignant mesothelioma is usually caused by exposure to asbestos, a carcinogenic material used in construction. A few cases are due to exposure to a mineral silicate called zeolite, or to thorotrast, which was used in the pre-1960s as a radiation contrast dye to enable blood vessels show up on X-rays.

The three main types of malignant mesothelioma are epithelial, sarcomatoid and mixed. The most common type is epithelial mesothelioma. Once malignant mesothelioma has been diagnosed, the next step is to determine what stage the disease has progressed to. This helps to fix how extensively the tumor has spread. There are four levels of the staging. Stage I responds best to treatment, as in this stage the tumor is limited to the pleural lining of the chest.

CT scans and MRIs are used to determine the extent of the spread of the tumorous cells, and what treatment is best suited to the case. The disease usually affects the mesothelium, a membrane that covers and protects most of the internal organs of the body. Most cases of mesothelioma affect the pleura that lines the chest cavity and the lungs. Mesothelioma can also affect the peritoneum, which covers the abdominal cavity. In rare cases, it can affect the pericardium, which covers the heart.

Liquid Vitamins And Minerals, Are They Better? The standard method of getting vitamins and minerals is through the food and drink that we ingest. For the past 20 years or so we have become conditioned to taking vitamins in pills or capsules to add the vitamins and minerals missing from our diet. One of the latest methods of taking supplements is in their liquid form, causing the question: which is better? Liquid, Capsule or Pill forms of Vitamin intake?

Liquid vitamins are without a doubt easier to absorb into our bodies than vitamin pills or tablets, but they have had a reputation as bad-tasting compared to flavoured pills. Newer good-tasting liquid supplements have dispelled that issue.  There have been many instances of kids choking on large tablets. As well, many adults with digestive or physical problems have issues with pills and tablets, but they are fine with liquid vitamins.

Because of its constitution, liquid supplements can be absorbed almost instantly into your system for a more systemic introduction of the vitamin and its median assimilation rank is some 90 to 98%. It’s also 3 to 5 times more saturated than vitamin pills, tablets and capsules and this causes higher bio-activity and additional health gains.

Have you ever wondered whether or not liquefied supplementations contained antioxidants too? Vitamins E, C and A are classified as antioxidants and are usually found in most  multi-vitamins but what about liquid supplements? Other questions posed as a negative are the quantity of colloidal minerals detected in liquid vitamins. Are they disadvantageous or not? Truly, even plants and fruits carry a trace of these minerals in them. Apples, for example, have 3-5 mg of aluminium as it is one of the most prevalent chemical element* that can be found on the Planet.
